The Importance of Vaccinating your Child
As a nurse at a Pediatric Hospital, you interpret the rewards of the hard work that doctors, clinicians and the entire hospital system contri stilles for the health of hundreds of children that come through those doors. As an advocate of vaccinating your child, I am empathetic to the concerns parents face with the outcry of the suspected consumption vaccines were thought to substantiate had with Autism. As a person innate(p) in the 70s as myself, I have never known a family member or superstar to have been infected with a communicable disease. Though non enjoyable, receiving vaccines were part of growing up. We all want the very outstrip for our children, and making the best decisions for them is roundtimes difficult. The vaccine debate has been slightly for a number of years, starting with Andrew Wakefields publication of a now defrocked paper published in the Lancet in 1998, hinting at the link between the MMR vaccine and Autism (Nelson). This report came rough when I had a 3 year old and a 1 year old at the time. As a medical professional, and hearing about this publication, the thought did enter my mind, was I doing harm to my children?
