Oblivious to the military group
As a bring forth of two teenage boys, I should know better than to permit them enamour films that contain explicit sex and graphic violence. Oh diminish on Mom. Weve seen movies worse than this one before, my son said. To be wholly honest I was in the mood to see a good gangster flick. Ever since the movie Godfather, I thrust not only been an Al Pacino rooter, besides a fan of the gangster films. There is something about those gun-toting Italian men in designer three-piece suits that has intrigued me. The suggestion that they are very besotted and live by a different set of rules than the shack of us is very obvious. Todays gangster movies, photo recording series like the Sopranos, and video ventures like Hit adult male not only glorify random violence provided they usually have us rooting for the bad guys. Violence in the media can have a long- term solution on its younger viewers and can influence their look in the future. This is something that I never considered when my boys were pleading with me to let them watch Goodfellas.
That was five years ago. My sons have grown up a little bit. I wouldnt say that they have matured but they have changed greatly in size and attitude.
These harming little boys who once adored SpongeBob Square Pants and couldnt go one day without watching the Rugrats, now butterfly Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, and Max Payne. They are veterans in the video game arena.
I hate to admit this, but I am one of the millions of unsuspecting parents that bought the video game that was at the top of their list for Santa every year. Even if I dont get anything else; it forget be the lift out Christmas ever, they said. Without ever reading the back of the game box, I apprehensively awaited their triumphant and joyful reactions to the game they most desired. The placidity of the holiday vacation was nothing but non- stop video games. Its what they really wanted. Its just a game.
