Many of us have eaten at a restaurant where conversation is close impossible because of high resound levels. In these types of restaurants, the acoustics of the space argon not appropriate for people to just eat and talk. In diners, people are forced to shout at apiece other as if they are deaf. Whether intentionally designed or not, the restaurant has an acoustic architecture just as it has a visual architecture.
Acoustics is the study of all mechanical waves in gases, liquids, and solids including vibration, sound,  ultrasound and infrasound. This science is used everywhere, from quiet libraries to noisy restaurants. What types of acoustics are in a restaurant? Well, it comes from the peoples voices, the music, kitchen pots and clanging dishes. on that point are many problems of acoustics that would affect a restaurant.
The average noise level of a typical restaurant during a eat rush is 2000-4000 Hz. The equivalent of this would be a road braid site. At this level, noise may not be painful, but it can wear away at hearing everywhere an extended period of time.

Hard surfaces such as brick, concrete and wood echo sound waves. Soft surfaces like carpets, foam insulation or draped windows absorb sound waves, decreasing echo effects.
