Adventure Stories

During the week after that game, I sent a earn to henry Jordan thanking him for allowing us to come to the party and to thank him at once again for the pic. He had an address that was very easy to remember, so I had no excuse for not sending a note to say thanks.

In my letter, I asked him where I could appoint or write to, so I could purchase a team picture of the Packers. The following week, I received an 9 X 12 envelope in the mail. It was postmarked from car park bespeak and it had Henry Jordans return address in the upper left hand corner. In it was a colored team photo of the Green embayment Packers. To make this picture more memorable, on the stick out of the picture were authentic autographs of Packers players, as well as the confederate coaches and legendary head coach Vince Lombardi. Jordan wrote Good Luck Doug, Henry Jordan #74 in the upper left corner on the back. None of the autographs were stamped replicas...they were all original, handwritten signatures. One player scribbled his design out and rewrote it, and some of the autographs were written in various change of ink or in pencil.

Shortly after I received this priceless picture, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas city Chiefs in the very first Super Bowl on January 15, 1967.

I took the picture along, hoping to show it to some of the Packers who were on that particular team. I never got close to Bart Starr or Paul Hornung, but I was...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
