I
know for a fact that many of us who have completed their
undergraduate studies desire and dream of pursuing a Master’s
Degree at one point in time. I know for a fact too that many of these
graduates dread the thought of having to do dissertation writing, as
dissertation writing is a mandatory requirement of a Masters Degree.
This phobia for dissertation writing has been inflicted on us by our
friends. It is widely rumored that dissertation writing is the
hardest task ever. I may not know how true this rumor is, but I am
positive that all it takes is a lot of determination and being
equipped with the relevant elements that make good dissertation
writing.
I tend to perceive dissertation writing as being closely
similar in concept to a research project; which makes me regard the
choice of essay topics on which to do a dissertation writing as the
real challenge and not the dissertation writing itself. Essay topics
are innumerable, and many students are stuck as to which of the many
essay topics to choose from. Some essay topics may seem easy to
explore, but they carry the risk of lacking the sufficient material
to form the required length.
Conversely, essay topics that seem
challenging are not preferable because of the complexity that such
essay topics inhibit when hypothesizing and all. A student who finds
herself unable to select one out of a number of essay topics can
always consult with her instructor. Many instructors know which essay
topics are manageable and those which are simply difficult, so it’s
prudent that students present their suggested topics to their
instructors for advice.
