6. If anyone steals the property of a temple or of the court, he shall be put to death, and also the one who receives the stolen issue from him shall be put to death.

My interpretation of this law is that if a case is brought before the court, and the plaintiff cannot prove that the defendant is guilty, the plaintiff will be put to death if the charges brought up against the defendant are of a capital offense. I think this is a good law because it probably had an extremely positive bushel on the honesty of the Babylonian citizens. In my opinion, it may deem also brought great morals, honor, and integrity to the entire city of Babylon as well.
This law could not be used today because it would check people from pursuing justice.
